The book documents my stint as a limousine driver in New York City, 1988-89, featuring over 50 black and white photographs, with essays by Jean Dykstra & Chris Lazotte. Published by Lazy Dog Press.

“ Shorr, it’s clear, connected with her passengers, and she also drew, consciously or not, on two distinct genres in the history of photography: the road trip and the studio portrait. ”

— JEAN DYKSTRA, has written for numerous publications on the subject of photography

“ Phoning friends from the car- well before the cell phone- slinging their feet onto the luxurious seats, waving to friends from an open sunroof, and taking advantage of the stocked mini-fridge – all allowed the passengers to imagine themselves as wealthy, glamorous, and powerful, if only for a day.”

— CHRIS LAZOTTE, PhD, her research is focused on the relationship between Women and Cars in a variety of contexts
